cylk wins prestigious International Design Award

Melbourne based fashion label cylk has won the award for "Best way of working with fabric" at the 27th International Apparel Convention in at the Grand Velas Resort in Mexico.

IAF International Designer Awards offers designers from allover the world a platform which recognises and rewards the next generation of future designers.

Emily Nasr and Keshia Abeysekera from cylk are the first Australians to win the coveted award.

The designs were based on innovation, originality, creativity, fabrics and quality of the collections. cylk was nominated to represent Australia and submitted 3 designs from their upcoming collection, showcasing innovation in seamless technology and yarn development.

The IAF Designer Awards is to invite and encourage prominent designers to participate in this prestigious contest. By strengthening the exchange among IAF member associations, international fashion design is promoted among the most influential decision makers in the apparel industry.

cylk have developed a cult following both locally and internationally with their unique aesthetic and compelling stor.
