European brand Marc O'Polo partners with Retraced for traceability

Swedish-German fashion label Marc O'Polo has partnered with Retraced, a Düsseldorf-based platform for fashion and textile companies, to ensure a more transparent supply chain and individual traceability for every item. The partnership will enable Marc O’Polo to monitor the traceability of goods along the supply chain in a digitalised and standardised way in the future.

The partnership will also enable the casual lifestyle brand to further increase production transparency and allow for closer monitoring of the company's sustainability goals, Marc O'Polo said in a media release.

"Complete traceability in the supply chain is one of the most important topics in the industry. I am pleased we have found a partner in retraced, who can accompany us on this essential and long-term project in an agile and transparent manner by using the latest technology," said Susanne Schwenger, CPO, Marc O'Polo AG.

"The collaboration between Marc O'Polo and retraced is an exciting step for the entire fashion industry. The project aims to show how deep supply chain transparency is made possible in a scalable way through efficient data exchange between brand and suppliers," said Lukas Pünder, CEO & co-founder of Retraced.

Following the successful on-boarding of the entire supplier base, the brand aims to ensure each individual product is completely and transparently traceable.
