Indian e-commerce company Flipkart has set up a new campus in Bengaluru to consolidate its other offices in the city to improve operational efficiency and take advantage of the resulting synergy between various teams and functions. Teams have already moved to the new location and started operating, according to Flipkart head of marketplace Anil Goteti.

By co-locating all its business units in one new, agile work environment, the company aims to create a unified office that supports cooperation, collaboration and flexibility, Goteti told a news agency.

Spread over 8.3 lakh sq ft, the new campus can seat over 7,300 employees. About 6,800 employees will operate out of the new campus. The company has around 7,600 employees.

The campus has facilities like indoor recreation rooms, outdoor recreation space, mothers' rooms and a daycare facility. (DS)
