Gant has announced that the company has appointed Patrik Soderstrom as the new CEO for Gant. Soderstrom is taking over after Brian Grevy from February 1, 2020. Gant is an international clothing brand headquartered in Stockholm, Sweden. The company was founded in 1949 by Bernard Gantmacher and was originally based in New Haven, Connecticut.

Söderström joined Gant in 2016 as EVP, global markets and has since then been key within the global management team. With a passion for sales, expertise within business expansion and intense focus on results, Söderström will continue to build value for the consumers and ensure future growth for Gant, according to a media statement by the company.

Söderström holds an extensive background within business, sales, and management. Prior to Gant, he held the position as North European managing director at Luxottica, and before that, eight years at Reebok where he held several positions, both on a Nordic and European level.

“Söderström has been a key player in the global management team and I am happy to appoint him as CEO. His understanding of how to lead and navigate the commercial business and channel landscape in today’s rapidly changing retail environment, while having a strong understanding of the power of the brand has already proven invaluable for the growth at Gant. Looking ahead, his passionate leadership will be vital as we continue the Gant journey,” Thierry Guibert, chairman of the board said.

“I am honoured and proud to take on this new role. With great results on a global level, it’s an exciting time for Gant. During the past year we have recruited many talented co-workers and have built a strong and powerful team. Now our focus will be to continue on the successful journey we are on, to keep elevate and clarify our brand and products, and to keep growing, in both new and existing markets,” Söderström said.
