The wearing apparel sector recorded the lowest sentiment with a balance of -32.6, while the textile manufacturing sector reported an export expectation balance of -8.5.

The chemical industry recorded an export expectation balance of -3.8, as per the ifo business survey.

“The tariff threats from the US are still on the table. An agreement between the EU and the US has yet to be reached,” said Klaus Wohlrabe, head of surveys at ifo. “This uncertainty is lowering exporters’ expectations.”
