Indian Govt to release e-com policy soon: minister Prabhu
The Indian Government will release an e-commerce policy soon, minister for commerce and industry Suresh Prabhu said recently in Mumbai. The policy drafted by industry stakeholders is awaiting clearance from the Department of Industrial Policy and Promotion, he said. The government is willing to listen to the World Trade Organisation, he said.

The government is also creating ‘sub-national’ ease of doing business parameters that will be measured at the district level where local industries are flourishing, Indian media reports quoted the minister as saying. (DS)
