Indonesia ships $1.6 bn apparel to US, holds 5th spot

President Donald Trump has announced a trade deal with Indonesia, lowering US import duties on Indonesian apparel to *% percent.
Despite a *% rise in exports to the US in January–April 2025, Indonesia remains the fifth-largest apparel supplier, behind India.

Although Indonesia’s share in the US apparel market reached *.** per cent so far this year, it has still not reclaimed its fourth-place ranking. In ****, US apparel imports from Indonesia totalled $*.*** billion, giving it a *.** per cent market share and fourth position among suppliers.
