Kong Sang elected new GMAC chairman in Cambodia

The Garment Manufacturers Association of Cambodia (GMAC) elected Kong Sang as its chairman for 2022-2023 at its 15th annual general meeting last week. Growth has been 10 per cent over the last 10 years, although it dropped a bit in 2020, but regained last year with a rise in the first 10 months,the country’s labour minister Ith Samheng told the meeting.
Sang was earlier vice chairman of the association.
Coalition of Cambodian Apparel Workers’ Democratic Union (CCAWDU) president Kong Athit told a Cambodian English-language daily he was skeptical about working with Sang.
