L brands reports 3 per cent sales increase in Q2FY15

L brands has reported net sales of $2.765 billion for the second quarter ended 1 August 2015 as compared to sales of $2.675 billion for the quarter ended 2 Aug 2014, marking a rise of 3 per cent. The company registered a comparable store sales increase of 4 per cent for the second quarter for 2015, it said in a press release.

The earnings per share for the second quarter of 2015 showed an increase of 8 per cent to $0.68 in contrast to $0.63 for the quarter ended 2 Aug 2014. The company estimates its 2015 third quarter earnings per share to be $0.40 to $0.45 and its full year earnings to be $3.58 to $3.73 per share.

“The second quarter net income increased 7 per cent to $402.9 million compared to $375.9 million last year, and net income was $202.5 million compared to $188.4 million last year”, the release said.

L brands through Victoria's Secret, Pink, Henri Bendel, La Senza, and Bath & Body works, owns 2,976 stores across Canada, UK, and US. (HO)
