Los Angeles Apparel deploys Tukatech technologies

Los Angeles Apparel, a basics apparel manufacturer and distributor headquartered in the US, founded by Dov Charney, a long-standing leader in American garment manufacturing, has selected technologies by Tukatech, the garment and apparel industry’s leading provider of fashion design software and technology solutions. Charney found Los Angeles Apparel in 2016.
Los Angeles Apparel challenges the norm in all parts of the process and raises the bar with quicker manufacturing turn-around, less material waste, using textiles and yarns all made in the US. All their garment pattern making, grading, cut, and sew are done under one roof.
Dov Charney said, “I know Tukatech, they helped me set up a state-of-the-art design and production systems with Tukacad, Tuka 3D for virtual samples, automatic fabric spreaders, automatic cutters for production, Smartmark that saves me time and fabric, even a laser cutter for my development. Without these affordable systems, making in LA will be just a dream.”
Ram Sareen, CEO and founder of Tukatech said, “While designing the game plan for the new operation, Dov and I sat down and worked a plan to automate every possible step, I love his energy and his passion, adding his knowledge of yarns to fabrics to products to fit is absolutely a unique formula for success.
