It is important that the line is able to have crossover appeal into western culture while incorporating the finest craftsmanship components that Japan has to offer. Further, Endo's ability to scientifically master the inter-related relationships between ink, fabric, and temperature serves as the core principle for this highly durable and aesthetically original apparel.

"This U.S. launch presents an excellent opportunity for me to inspire a new movement in the apparel creative process. I hope to merge my passion for American fashion with my commitment to sourcing the highest level of apparel construction and silk screen technology to US audiences," says Takashi Endo.

PROJECT New York marks the brands official launch in the U.S. The line is currently available at www.junks.ne.jp and at specialty retailers this Fall.

Junks Tokyo/Japan will showcase at booth #916 on the 2nd floor at 82 Mercer.

Emerging as one of the largest and most notable fashion brands in Japan in 2005, JUNKS Tokyo/Japan is a Japanese clothing brand that has set the standard in luxury with its rock and roll inspired designs and intricate craftsmanship. The brand's sophisticated and edgy designs are displayed throughout their Japanese luxury flagship stores, which include JUNKS Tokyo and JUNKS Fukuoka. The designer, Takashi Endo, has managed to invent a cutting-edge silkscreen printing technology, after perfecting his craft for almost two decades, with parent company Pointer Limited.

Pointer Limited is the premiere manufacturer for many notable premium street brands in Japan. Some past and present clients include Billionaire Boys Club, A Bathing Ape, Undercover and Neighborhood but it is Endo's precision to silkscreen craftsmanship that has earned him and the company the respect and admiration amongst fans, artists, peers and a global client base that includes the Who's Who of the Japanese fashion elite.

Takashi Endo is now looking to expand his line on a global scale by introducing the line to U.S. audiences with his Spring/Summer 2012 collection. The core line includes silkscreen printed men's and women's tees, tanks, hoodies, and tops adorned with Rock and Roll imagery on premium cut body styles.
