Fatex, the only truly international co-contracting and sub-contracting trade show for the clothing industry in Europe, will take place from 4 to 6 September 2011 at Paris Porte de Versailles - Hall 4.

Now in it 28th show, Fatex is always timed to coincide with Paris fashion trade shows. In 2011, Fatex will welcome new countries offering a wealth of experience in high-volume manufacturing, occupying 20% more exhibition space, while remaining closer than ever to prospective customers and the fashion business.

Diverse international visitors:
China and Hong Kong-based ready-to-wear specialists are always the main attraction at Fatex. This September will be no exception, with participants from this region representing over 60% of exhibitors.

Their offer is always tailored to manufacturers' needs, but in 2011 will have a greater focus on quality and services and an emphasis on style improvements. Chinese imports represented 42.2% of European clothing textile imports in September 2010 (Source: Textile Business News).

The 2011 show will welcome 4 other leading manufacturing countries:
Bangladesh: this year some 20 companies from Bangladesh will be showcasing the manufacturing offer of one of the largest textiles and clothing manufacturing and export countries (6.1% of European imports).

India: this is the year of this textile giant's big comeback. Back after a brief hiatus, with 20 exhibiting companies specialising in ready-to-wear (5.5% of European imports).

Pakistan: around 15 exhibitors will be at Fatex 2011. With a very high production capacity, it is one of Asia's biggest textile exporters. The country's president Asif Ali Zardari has declared 2011 the 'year of textiles' (11.8% of European imports).

Nepal: a good alternative for buyers. Perhaps not as well-known but with a very attractive offer, Nepal opens up a variety of high-quality, traditional textile opportunities.

A rigorous selection process:
Acutely aware of the potential pitfalls and issues surrounding high-volume exports, for the past decade, Eurovet, the show's organiser, has applied a pre-selection policy for Fatex applicants.

Each applicant must answer specific questions on a pre-selection form. A selection then assesses each application and selects exhibitors based on customer references, their country's economic outlook, financial stability and working conditions.

Thanks to the selection, all Fatex show exhibitors have ISO certification or Bureau Veritas accreditation and are established, reputable suppliers of renowned European or American brands. Fatex values the quality and reliability of its exhibitors and is proud to have received excellent feedback from buyers year after year.

The show, its exhibitors and its visitors are a part of an active, year-round network. This is why Fatex set up its fast-growing LinkedIn group to help its customer's network and do business.
