In the forthcoming India Fashion Forum 2012 from March 13 – 15 at Mumbai, The Woolmark Company will present The Wool Lab Spring/Summer 2013, a seasonal guide to the ultimate in wool trends, created to inspire and inform fashion and textile professionals regarding the infinite potential of Merino wool. This forum will be a focal point for leaders of the industry to meet and fashion the future of retail in India.

The Wool Lab has become an important tool for highlighting and inspiring the global apparel industry to source the best Merino wool fabrics and yarns in the world, identifying emerging trends in fashion and other fields from design to art, music and pop culture.

For the first time the guide will be completely focused on the Spring/Summer season: an unexpected and amazing overview of wool's natural benefits and adaptability for the warmer months. The Wool Lab will propose eight inspiring themes for the next Spring/Summer season, through a collection of images, describing the mood, style and atmosphere of each theme.

In addition to the trends for Spring/Summer 2013, this edition of The Wool Lab includes for the first time a section dedicated to sportswear, unveiling the natural qualities and performances that Merino wool guarantees in this particular sector.

Expressing his enthusiasm on being a part of IFF 2012, Mr. Amir Sheikh, Country Manager, India says, “The Wool Lab is an exciting collection, created through extensive research, to inspire apparel brands across the globe to use the most soft and comfortable natural fibre in the world, Merino wool. It is our endeavour to bring international fashion trends in wool to the aspiring Indian market.”

He further adds, “India Fashion Forum is an ideal platform to showcase our innovations and collections to the entire apparel fashion industry who are obsessed with natural luxury.”

The Woolmark Company and AWI operate worldwide with offices in over 18 countries, with the headquarters is in Sydney, Australia. Woolmark is the iconic fibre brand symbolising the best wool in the world. Created in 1964, by Italian graphic designer Francesco Saroglia, the Woolmark logo perfectly represents the softness, elegance and modernity of wool. Today it is still amongst the ten most recognised and appreciated brands in the world.
