Chinese output of garments in 2011 was stagnant at levels achieved in 2010, revealed statistics, released by the China National Garment Association.
China's apparel production amounted to 43.6 billion units in 2011, which is about the same as in 2010.
Of which, production of woven clothing, including leatherwear stood at 14.6 billion units, down 0.68% and of knitwear touched 29 billion units, up 0.35%.
The five provinces of Guangdong, Jiangsu, Zhejiang, Shandong and Fujian accounted for 80% of apparel production.
