Perry Ellis International appoints President of retail outlet division

Apparel retailer Perry Ellis International Inc has informed Joe Shannon has been named President of the Perry Ellis Retail Outlet Division with immediate effect.
Shannon will be based at PEI's headquarters in Miami, Fla. He will oversee the merchandising, sales and operations for all Perry Ellis retail outlets.
Presently, Perry Ellis International offers shopping opportunities at 32 outlet stores in 18 states.
Joe served most recently as President of Carter's Childrenswear Retail. At Carter's, Joe was responsible for 175 stores nationwide, and oversaw the opening of 45 new outlet locations. Prior to this position, he served as President of Bugle Boy Retail.
Shannon will report to Tony Campbell, Executive Vice President of business development.
"Joe arrives at a critical point for our outlet store strategy," Campbell said.
"The Perry Ellis cache creates the potential for opening a total of over 80 major outlet centers nationwide. With over 30 years of retail store experience, Joe is the perfect choice to spearhead our expansion plans," he said.
