With the Stitch Menswear SS13 trade show just round the corner (July 15th and 16th at the Business Design Centre in Islington) a range of top quality brands have now been announced.

Stitch boasts heavyweights including .Bench. This is the only trade show Bench will be at this season

Their collection for SS13 takes inspiration from a nostalgic look at the 1990’s. This reference is underpinned by two themes ‘S.O.S – Style of the Suburbs’; a return to authentic streetwear influenced by urban tribes and music culture combined with ‘The Passenger’ a relaxed approach to urban life where road trips and summer festivals provide the backdrop to a more refined look.

The bar area, curated by Firetrap will be a focal point of this season. Firetrap will additionally be showing their new collection. Founded in 1993 and instantly recognised as an unconventional edgy and uncompromising brand. These are words that still ring true to the brand twenty years later.

The DJ line-up boasts high profile influencers across the two days including Eddie Piller from Acid Jazz Records

Gio Goi will be showing for the first time this season. The music and streetwear brand that made its name through strong live music and DJ links all underpinned with a strong northern heritage of the Manchester Hacienda scene and sound of the underground raves of the 80’s.

Following on from their successful show last season, Onitsuka Tiger have resigned. Having begun back in 1949 the brand has gone on to become an iconic, global sports fashion brand with a unique Japanese sports heritage. Onitsuka Tiger’s SS13 collection fuses direct remakes of their back catalogue with a fresh representation of the forward looking face of modern metropolitan Japan that reflects the innovative & original spirit of the brand.

Vision is a specialist platform for new and developing menswear brands to gain a presence within a successful trade show arena. Brands on display here include Art Disco. A new and upcoming British label specialising in hand screen printed graphic pieces with a fashion-forward style relevant edge. Already known for their graphic casual wear, this year Art Disco have expanded into outerwear and customized vintage pieces. Expect big things from this one to watch.

Ghost of Trouble is another new face to the menswear fashion arena destined for success; an Argentine based company founded in 2011 that focuses on knitwear and t-shirts. Their clothes are made in Peru using only certified Peruvian PIMA cotton, organically harvested. More cutting edge brands are soon to be announced for the Vision section.

Switch is dedicated to streetwear brands and will be showing a mix of the finest streetwear offerings including American cult street credible label The Hundreds who will be targeting a host of UK and International retailers to further add to the brands continual International success. Panuu will also be on display, voicing how it does not adhere to seasonal trends. Instead, it fuses its love for simple, powerful graphic prints and expressions with strong, uncompromising, Scandinavian design, rich in detail.
