Wittlebee acquires apparel brand Cottonseed Clothing

Wittlebee, the affordable children’s clothing monthly membership service, announces the acquisition of Cottonseed Clothing Company, the high quality t-shirt and basic apparel brand for kids that’s known for luxurious cotton wares available in 24 solid colors. Wittlebee was developed by technology studio Science Inc., based in Santa Monica, CA.

As a result of the acquisition, Cottonseed Clothing Company will be offered exclusively through Wittlebee boxes. A typical box includes six pieces of clothing handpicked by a talented team of mom stylists and shipped to members’ doorsteps monthly. Each box is tailored to meet the needs and style of every child, age newborn through 5.

“Cottonseed Clothing was our first vendor, and we were consistently impressed by their level of quality and selection of colors so it made perfect sense that they were our first acquisition,” said Wittlebee CEO and founder Sean Percival.

“We love the fact that the brand was built by parents who inherently understood the challenge of finding fantastic looking kids’ clothes, made from the best fabrics, and in solid colors and styles that transcend seasons so they are long lasting. This acquisition allows us to continue to offer the well-loved Cottonseed brand to our members exclusively. Paired with our wide variety of high-end brands, our customers will now get even more value and outfit combinations in every box.”

Cottonseed Clothing CEO and founder Erin Gutierrez will continue to be involved in the manufacturing process. “I’m inspired by our shared vision of making the process of shopping for quality, affordable kids basics easier for busy parents,” said Erin. “I’m thrilled to widen our customer reach through Wittlebee’s offerings, and to be a part of a company that has proven to be such a lifesaver for parents.”

Wittlebee is an affordable monthly membership service that automatically ships parents a box of children’s clothing essentials.

Cottonseed Clothing Company was created to fill the void in the children’s market for affordable, quality solid color cotton baby and toddler clothes.
