The report says that the signs of developing growth in the women’s segment helped in the overall development of Chinese clothing market. This trend is likely to continue in the future. The women’s garment sector has realized a double-digit growth rate this year.
The report says that sportswear market is also expected to see rapid growth in the near future, and it is predicted that China's garment industry will grow at a 23 percent CAGR between 2012 and 2015.
As consumers become more and more aware of environmental protection, the number of environmentally friendly technology companies among Chinese clothing manufacturers is increasing, in order to cater to the growth of domestic and global demand for environmental friendly products.
The majority of the companies entering into eco-friendly production often change to sustainable natural raw materials like cotton, wool, silk, etc. Other materials such as bamboo fiber and soybean protein fiber are also increasingly becoming popular, the report added.
