A favourite this year, for ages two to six, is the very colourful Spotty Otter violet drift down combo jacket. Not only is this nylon light-weight jacket a fabulous colour (bright purple with pink lining) but it’s also filled with premium duck down – making the wearer feel they are still tucked up in their cosy continental quilt while playing outdoors in winter. Kozikidz have also come up with a fully-padded winter jacket and detachable gilet. Their version is in 100 per cent waterproof and breathable Hydratex. Suitable for primary age youngsters, the trendy aquamarine colour will probably appeal to boys while the purple will definitely be a winner with the fairer sex. Both colours have handy high visibility reflectors while the hood, hem and waist are all fully adjustable for the ultimate comfort wear.

Meanwhile, not to be outdone, Hatley are heading for a co-ordinated look with their pretty white dots on red coat, complete with quilted 100 per cent cotton lining and polyfill padding. All seams are sealed for warmth and buttons are also white polka dots.
