Smack Sportswear debuted its 2013 line of bikinis, boardshorts and casual wear, on The Bachelor, Monday, January 21st. The episode featured a group date where twelve bachelorettes battled it out in a game of beach volleyball to win a date with The Bachelor, Sean Lowe. While most of the country was buried under snow, ice, and freezing weather, the bachelorettes sported their new Smack bikinis, heating up the volleyball court on Zuma Beach in Malibu, CA. The match was a nail biter, with the blue team prevailing, 21-19, and winning a date at Sean’s beach house.
“Our new 2013 bikinis were a huge hit with all the girls, as was the boardshort with Sean,” said Smack Sportswear CEO, Bill Sigler, who also was the referee for the match. “They loved the bright colors, athletic fit, functional fabrics, and sexy look.”
Judging by the traffic to Smack’s website Monday night, “The Bachelor” fans also loved the clothes. Visitors to www.SmackSportswear.com had a chance to view “behind the scenes” photos from the filming, as well as purchase products worn on the show. More photos are being added throughout the week.
“This was a great promotion for our company. To have over 30 million people view our So Cal inspired beach activewear is invaluable. We expect our retail partners to also agree, as we use this opportunity to expand distribution to specialty stores, sporting goods and big box chains,” Sigler stated.
