Little Fashions Boutique focuses on 2013 clothing trends

When it comes to little girls clothing and toddler girls clothing trends, designers were in agreement: lux, high-end styles and attention to detail trumps all. Whether the overall look incorporated a touch of romance, as did LamanBlu's mix of velvet ribbon trims, Venice lace and rich jewel tones; a dash of uber-trendy vintage style, like Mim-Pi's stunning Fair-Isle and chevron sweater sets; or Appaman's innovative mix of innovative shapes, fun graphics and kid-friendly style, the kid and tween clothing looks for fall were all about the upscale.

Baby Girl Clothes

For the littlest fashionistas, the focus for fall is on details that make all the difference. Mim-Pi showed an eclectic collection for baby girls that featured a gorgeous, rich mix of deep rose, gray, lime and blue shades gracing sweater sets, t-shirts and skirts, all dressed up with splashes of neon color, glitter and shine, as well as adorable pom-pom accents and contrasting Lurex detailing.

Other designers followed a trend toward lux elegance, showing baby girl clothes crafted from the softest shades of cream and white, all dressed up with amazing detailing, from the hand-knit rosettes at Oibo and Nanan to the embroidered sleeves and hams at Val & Max. For a truly luxurious touch, don't forget the faux rabbit fur gracing the collars of the winter girls coats at Ermanno Scervino.

Toddler Girls Clothing

Toddler girls clothing trends reflected an interplay between vibrant color, brilliant patterns and nature-inspired artwork. At Missoni, bright, beautiful stripes lit up the runway on a fun paint box of a poncho that incorporated saturated hues and vintage, boho-chic chevrons.

Mixing is in, matching is out, as evidenced by the wild color palettes at Rykiel Engant and Agatha Ruiz de la Prada, who showed several bright looks all dressed up with two-tone tights no little girl could resist! Unkk took the multi-hued look even further with gorgeous tights in a rainbow of geometric color-blocked shapes.

For the little nature-lover, animal themed prints were big on the Fall 2013 runways, with images running the gamut from photo-realistic graphics to adorable, whimsical animal appliques. Wild showed a selection of tops featuring photo art, while Chat Merchant followed suit with black and white graphics. Imps & Elfs offered quirky tops with stylized bear designs, while Fred's World upped the fun quotient with cute animal appliques. All of the designers used natural color palettes for their menageries, from grassy greens and ocean blues to warm earth tones.
