At Outdoor Friedrichshafen (11 – 14 July 2013) an exciting new product is being introduced that combines the best of nature with dual functionality: ADVANSA Thermo°Cool introduces Duoregulation with Merino Wool. In this extraordinary innovation ADVANSA has partnered with the largest manufacturer of worsted yarn worldwide: Südwolle Group.

Qualities like high functionality and natural comfort are more and more required for Outdoor Apparel, Underwear and Socks, where moisture transportation combined with thermobuffering properties, gives athletes and Outdoor enthusiasts an edge in performance.

ADVANSA Thermo°Cool with Merino Wool – an outstanding combination of ADVANSA´s Duoregulation fibre technology with the natural characteristics of Merino Wool - has numerous attributes that allow garments that have been made in ADVANSA Thermo°Cool with Merino Wool fabrics to be worn in various activities whatever weather conditions.

The combination offers the possibilities of light, breathable and exceptionally soft fabrics, keeping the wearer thermoregulated and providing outstanding comfort. Manufactured by Yarn in Motion (YIM), a brand of the Südwolle Group, the prize winning “Ferntree” fabric consists of 50% of each of these fibres and incorporates a new dimension in function to the natural Merino fibres.

All the benefits of the extraordinary properties of ADVANSA´s high performance Duoregulation fibre technology, for advanced thermoregulation and evaporative cooling, come together with the outstanding comfort and natural feel of Merino Wool.

This fabric does not absorb as much moisture as pure Merino Wool and is therefore well suited for highly active sports. In addition, the wool insures a naturally effective odour control. The fibres are suitable for all kind of fabrics such as for circular knits, flat knits, seamless garments and woven fabrics guaranteeing enhanced comfort.

At Outdoor in Friedrichshafen, ADVANSA will bring together its multi-purpose fibre technology in outstanding fabrics and garment collections with Merino Wool, appealing widely due to their design, quality and their excellence in functionality – and all natural for a great comfort, with easy care attributes, suiting well to the requirements that sportsmen look for.
