Stratus Vest from Jack Wolfskin offers double protection

The recently launched STRATUS VEST is a highly versatile item of apparel. When combined with a weatherproof jacket, it maintains a high level of heat retention, and when worn on its own, the lightweight and hard-wearing AIRGRID 20D outer material is also able to protect against wind chill.

The gilet is filled with FIBERCLOUD HT loose multi-denier fibrefill insulation, making it fast-drying and easy to care for.

MICROGUARD MAXLOFT fleece reinforces the shoulder area, ensuring optimum heat retention even when compressed by rucksack straps, for example. Three pockets offer plenty of storage space to keep items such as gloves or a Smartphone. The men’s model of the STRATUS VEST weighs just 500 g (size L), whilst the women’s model comes in at a mere 410 g in size M.

Gilets are especially practical to wear between seasons when warm weather gives way to cooler temperatures. Whilst the upper body is protected from the cold and wind, the arms are still afforded generous freedom of movement.

A low weight and small pack size also makes gilets ideal for wearing outdoors, as they enable you to react to changing weather conditions. For many people, the gilet is therefore an attractive alternative to an insulated jacket.
