Dick's Sporting to open fifth Louisiana store

DICK'S Sporting Goods, celebrates the grand opening of a store in Gretna on Friday, September 13 at the retailer's new location in the Oakwood Center (197 Westbank Expressway).

On Friday, former New Orleans Saints running back Deuce McAllister will make an appearance in-store from 6 - 8 p.m. A two-time Pro Bowler, McAllister played his entire career with the Saints and holds the team's record for most career rushing yards (6,096) and touchdowns (55).

"We look forward to opening our new DICK'S Sporting Goods in Gretna, becoming part of the community and serving athletes of all ages by providing them the equipment they need to excel," said Lauren Hobart, DICK'S Sporting Goods Chief Marketing Officer.

The Gretna location will be the retailer's 5th store in the state of Louisiana and its 530th nationwide. The new store will feature over 40 in-store services performed by DICK'S certified PROS in Golf, Bike, Hunting, Fishing, Team Sports and more.
