Over the past two decades, leading avant-garde fashion designer Rick Owens has defined an unmistakable minimalist, architectural and graphic aesthetic. For this collaboration, he distills his design signature into a single silhouette composed of leather and nylon mixes in colors of onyx, dark dust and milk.
The inspiration for the design comes from Owens’ personal desire for chic sneakers to motivate his cardio efforts, resulting in a collection that consists of one trainer in four unique material and color combinations for women.
The select models have been stripped back, and then intentionally exaggerated to bring emphasis to only its key elements as well as bring new character to the traditional running shoe. Subtle yet instantly iconic, the trainers display only the slightest hint of branding: a barely perceptible three-stripe perforation along the side.
