Leading specialty retailer of fashion-oriented, moderately priced women's apparel, New York & Company Inc with 526 stores, announced that Steven Newman has resigned as Executive Vice President, General Merchandise Manager, Merchandising.
The Company also announced the promotions of Leslie Goldmann to the position of Executive Vice President, General Merchandise Manager - Apparel; and Marie Fogel to the position of Executive Vice President, Design - Apparel.
"Both Leslie and Marie have demonstrated strong leadership skills and a commitment toward driving results," said Richard P. Crystal, Chairman, CEO and President of New York & Company. "They have made many contributions in merchandising, design, and product development at our Company. Based on their talent and experience in the retail industry, I know they will be invaluable to us as we continue to grow our brand.

Goldmann will be responsible for the merchandising of all apparel. She most recently served as Vice President, General Merchandise Manager for Collection and Ready to Wear and has been with the company since 1996. Prior to joining New York & Company, Goldmann worked for Ann Taylor as a Senior Merchandiser. She also spent time at Mitsubishi International Corporation, Honeybee Inc, Batus Retail Group and R.H. Macy Co. Goldmann graduated from Syracuse University with a bachelor of science in retail business.
