Women's specialty apparel retailer J Jill Group Inc announced its "Nature of Compassion" tee shirt design contest to support the J. Jill Compassion Fund.
From May 1 to June 6, 2006, consumers nationwide can enter the "Nature of Compassion" contest by submitting their own nature-inspired tee shirt design.
J. Jill will sell a limited edition series of the winning tee shirt and donate 100 percent of the profits to the J. Jill Compassion Fund, which supports community-based organizations that help poor and homeless women become self-sufficient.
J. Jill currently sells a satin trimmed Compassion Tee, which is available for purchase year-round with $1 from each sale donated to the J. Jill Compassion Fund.
Consumers can submit their tee shirt designs in J. Jill stores or online at http://www.jjill.com. "Nature of Compassion" designs should contain elements of nature that inspire the designer and can be created with any medium, except photography.
J. Jill will select the top ten tee designs, and display the finalists online and in stores from July 12 to July 31, for customers to vote on their favorite design. The top ten finalists of the "Nature of Compassion" contest will receive a J. Jill shopping spree.
"J. Jill customers have an appreciation for handcrafted and artisanal details," says Lisa Bayne, Chief Marketing Officer at J. Jill. "Through the 'Nature of Compassion' tee design contest, we are celebrating women's creativity and giving women the opportunity to help raise money for the J. Jill Compassion Fund."
