ATDC conducts cost reduction workshop

Apparel Training and Design Center (ATDC) in collaboration with the Textiles Committee conducted a workshop on 'Cost Reduction'.
S R Jain, member ATDC, and a leading exporter of Ludhiana inaugurated a seminar.
Addressing the workshop, Jain stressed on the challenges offered by international market in the post-quota phase and spoke about how the market has expanded but with increased competition.
R K Singh, Principal, ATDC, explained about areas cost reduction for the exporters to focus on and how to profit over those areas that are accessible and wherein lies the possibility of cost reduction that can be planned.
Inderapaul, Assistant Director, Textiles Committee, also explained different topics like emergency and assessment costs. He said preventive cost is a big tool to avoid internal and external failures.
Executives of exporting units such as Nagesh Knitwears, Kansal Hosiery Exports, Goyal Knitwears, Eveline, Bhagat Exports, Charley Knitwears and Award Knit Fab attended the seminar.
Approximately 25 export-oriented units participated in the workhop.
