Jabong appoints Sachin Sinha as its new CTO

India’s leading online fashion destination, Jabong.com, has appointed Sachin Sinha as Chief Technology Officer (CTO) of the company.

In his new role, Sinha will be based in Bangalore and will lead the technology initiatives for Jabong. Post heading the engineering department of Amazon, Sinha will envision the technological prospects for Jabong.

Sinha has 16 years of rich experience in software design, development, and project leadership in building high performance, scalable software products, and platforms in cluster/ distributed computing, database, and ecommerce domain.

He has worked in some of the successful organisations before joining Jabong as the CTO. He joins from Sachin IQLECT which he founded a few years back, to provide products and solutions in the Big Data space. Prior to this he was the engineering head at Amazon for the ecommerce sponsored links platform. He was also associated with the SQL group at Microsoft. In addition, he was at the forefront to develop an ecommerce portal in financial domain for US real estate market and sold it to a bank in US, Jabong said in a media statement.

Praveen Sinha, founder and managing director of Jabong.com said, “We are elated to have Sachin Sinha as the new CTO and I am positive that his contribution towards Jabong is going to be invaluable. I am looking forward to his leadership in technology initiatives for the company as we build our new technology labs. Ecommerce is a very dynamic sector and technology wise we have to innovate at a supersonic rate to stay adept with the industry. Keeping in mind his prior experience in the ecommerce sector, I am affirmative that he would be able to take Jabong to greater heights in the coming years.”

B Tech from IIT Kanpur, Sachin has also co-authored and published papers and developed several IPs in database technologies and parallel systems.
