Chico's FAS appoints SVP of Planning and Allocation

Specialty apparel retailer Chico's FAS Inc announced an addition to its senior management team as part of the company's continuing effort to position Chico's for current and future growth.

Toni Robinson joins the company as Senior VP of Planning and Allocation for the Chico's brand. She, who will be reporting to Patricia Murphy Kerstein, Executive VP/CMO, effectively fills what had been a vacant position in Planning and Allocation.

With a strong background in a multi-branded retail environment comparable to the scale of Chico's, she is considered ideally suited for this position. She will be responsible for all merchandise planning and allocation for the Chico's brand, including providing the direction of improvements in process, planning, and systems for the brand.

Ms Robinson joins Chico's from Limited Brands where she most recently served as VP, Merchandise Planning & Allocation for Bath & Body Works of Limited Brands. She was responsible for strategic planning, merchandise planning, and replenishment.

Scott Edmonds, President and CEO, said, "We identified a need for a stronger and more advanced planning and allocation process and believe that Toni Robinson possesses the talent and leadership capabilities necessary to enhance and improve this area. We anticipate that she will provide significant assistance with our conversion to the SAP software platform, which is expected to further position us for the even higher volume of transactions anticipated in the future. We are delighted to welcome Toni to our senior management team."

Chico's FAS Inc is a specialty retailer of private label, sophisticated, casual-to-dressy clothing, intimates, complementary accessories, and other non-clothing gift items. It operates 797 women's specialty stores, including stores in 47 states, the District of Columbia, the US Virgin Islands and Puerto Rico operating under the Chico's, White House | Black Market, Soma by Chico's and Fitigues names.
