JEM to offer screen-printed T-Shirts featuring JAKKS

JAKKS Pacific Inc has signed a licensing agreement with apparel company JEM Sportswear to bring JAKKS Pacific's Fly Wheels brand into fashion aisles around the globe.
Under the worldwide agreement between the two companies, JEM will offer screen-printed T-Shirts featuring JAKKS Pacific's high-performance Fly Wheels toy vehicle line.
"Now kids can fully immerse themselves in the high-speed Fly Wheels world with colorful tees that feature their favorite Fly Wheels product. This new deal with JEM Sportswear will further expand on a brand that, since its launch in 2005, has grown into the No. 2 toy vehicle brand in the U.S.," said Lauren Whitehead, Director of Licensing, JAKKS Pacific Inc.
Whitehead continued, "The Fly Wheels brand is a tremendous success in the U.S. and international markets with boys and adult auto enthusiasts. We hope to capitalize on the success of the line and its already significant brand awareness, by creating a whole Fly Wheels world with Fly Wheels apparel, ride-ons, bedding and more."
"Fly Wheels is a great example of a dynamic product line, with proven success at retail, which we believe will translate well into an apparel line," explained Randi Spieker, Vice President of Marketing, JEM Sportswear. "We expect that kids will want to collect Fly Wheels T-Shirts just like they collect Fly Wheels toys."
Marketed under JAKKS' Road Champs division, Fly Wheels toys feature replica wheels and launchers that look just like the tires and propellers from real vehicles, including cars, motorcycles, bikes, skate boards and now airplanes--only on a smaller scale.
