Daiwabo soothes atopic dermatitis patients

People suffering from atopic dermatitis have an underwear, which helps them get relief from itching, announced Japan Science and Technology Agency of Government.

Developed by Daiwabo Neu Co, an Osaka-based unit of Daiwabo Co, the underwear has successfully stood the clinical trials, the agency confirmed its effectiveness.

Neu's textiles are dyed with a catalytic chemical, called iron phthalocyanine tetracarboxylic acid, which removes substance aggravating itching and stops spreading of germs found in rashes.

Daiwabo Neu had been commissioned by the agency to develop the underwear based on research made by Shinshu University President, Atsushi Komiyama.
