Ashworth announces sponsorship of PGA Tour player Nick Watney

Ashworth Inc, a leading designer of golf-inspired lifestyle sportswear and golf apparel, announced it has expanded the Ashworth team of PGA Tour professionals with the addition of Nick Watney.
Prior to joining the PGA Tour in 2005, Watney, 25, was a three-time NCAA All-American and WAC Player of the Year while attending Fresno State University. In 2004, Nick won the Nationwide Tour Championship tournament earning him playing rights on the PGA Tour in 2005. Currently, Nick is ranked 67th on the PGA Tour money list and has 5 Top 25 finishes for the 2006 tour season.
"While playing junior, high school and collegiate golf tournaments, I've always idolized Fred Couples and still do to this day. I'm very excited and honored to be associated with a clothing brand like Ashworth that is committed to both style and performance," commented Nick Watney.

Nick Watney along with Fred Couples, Stuart Appleby and Chris DiMarco will be used extensively in 2006 and 2007 to promote the "Perfect Ashworth Foursome" consisting of an assortment of four exclusive product launches scheduled for late 2006.
