DB Apparel to shut two plants

As part of restructure of its European operation, Apparel Company DB Apparel will close down two production plants located in the Catalan province of Barcelona in Spain, informed sources.
DB Apparel was formed after Sara Lee sold it for €100 million to investment firm Sun Capital Partners Inc.
DB Apparel is well-known for its DIM hosiery brand and Playtex lingerie brand.
After the closing down of these plants there will be 950 job cut from its European work force of 12,000.
