VF Corp & Arvind Mills enter into JV

World's leading apparel Company, VF Corp, will enter Indian markets through a equity joint venture with Arvind Mills.

Licensing agreement between Arvind Mills and VF Corporation includes brands like Lee, Wrangler and Nautica.

Both are likely to enter in 50:50 partnership but no official confirmation is forthcoming, sources informed.

According to industry experts, this JV will totally refurbish Arvind's branded business and play vital role in the domestic apparel market.

This JV will operate under exclusive brand outlets (EBOs) and multi-brand outlets (MBOs) models. Brands like Lee, Wrangler or a Nautica will be covered under single brand FDI and MBO model will operate through franchisee setup.

To generate more revenue from global operation, VF will adopt some innovative business models as they have gone for equity route instead of licensing.
