Barcelino sales continue to rise as Father's Day advances

Barcelino, a San Francisco Bay Area based designer and retailer of high-end men's fashion, has seen their sales continue to rise this year with a major spike as Father's Day approaches.

"We have seen a 22 percent increase in luxury item sales," commented Sharam Sharei, President of Barcelino. "Both men and women are willing to invest in high-end clothing because it is the best in European quality and style.

Our customers are keenly aware there is a difference when you purchase high quality garments, and that is driving up our sales and the number of repeat buyers."

According to the National Retail Federation, spending this year on Father's Day is expected to reach $9.0 billion, with thirty-two percent of all purchases being on clothing; which is more than power tools, home improvement items and sporting goods combined.

Barcelino has seen an overwhelming increase in sales on big ticket items like Italian silk/wool blazers and leather jackets. With prices ranging between $1,500 and $6,000, these luxury items are attracting enormous interest from both men and women.

Sharei added that, "women in particular are attracted to unique, high-end items for that special man in their life. Whether it is a cool and comfortable sweater and sport shirt or an elegant Italian silk tie, women let their style reflect their sensibilities in what they buy for others."

Barcelino forecasts that these trends will continue through the remainder of 2006 and is projecting another double digit increase this fall as they head into the holiday season.

Barcelino is a premiere international designer and purveyor of fine men's women's clothing with retail stores located in San Francisco and the Bay Area, as well as the Pacific Northwest.
