EDF Board anounces School of Fashion Design at Karachi & Islamabad

A meeting of the Board of Administrators of Export Development Fund (EDF) was held recently at the Ministry of Commerce.
Humayun Akhtar Khan, Minister for Commerce/Chairman of the EDF Board, presided over the meeting wherein release a grant of worth Rs.172.7 million was declared.
The grant will be utilized for organizing Expo Centre Lahore and IDEAS 2006 Exhibition at Karachi.
A portion of it will utilized to develop School of Fashion Design at Karachi and Islamabad, and also for sharing the cost of registration of pharmaceutical products in foreign markets.
Akhtar informed the meeting that the proposal for establishment of an Export Trade Centre in the NWFP would be initiated with the provincial government.
