Golf Galaxy Inc, a leading golf specialty retailer, announced the appointment of Douglas Neve, 50, to the company's Board of Directors effective June 15th 2006.

The company said it expected Neve to be appointed to the Audit Committee concurrent with the company's Annual Meeting of Shareholders on August 9th 2006.

Golf Galaxy's Board has determined that Neve qualifies as an 'independent director' under applicable rules of the National Association of Securities Dealers for companies listed on NASDAQ. Its Board has further determined that Neve qualifies as an 'audit committee financial expert' under applicable Securities and Exchange Commission rules.

"We are very excited Doug has agreed to join our Board," said Randy Zanatta, Golf Galaxy's president, Chief Executive Officer and Chairman. "We believe his financial and accounting expertise, along with his outstanding leadership skills, will be instrumental in the continued growth of our company."

Neve has been the executive vice president and chief financial officer of Ceridian Corporation, an information services company primarily involved in the human resource, transportation and retail markets, since February 2005.

Previously, Neve was a senior audit partner with Deloitte & Touche LLP, an international public accounting firm, from June 2002 until February 2005 and an audit partner with Arthur Andersen, an international public accounting firm, from September 1989 through May 2002.

Golf Galaxy Inc, based in Eden Prairie, Minn., owns and operates golf specialty retail stores. It currently operates 61 stores in 24 states and an ecommerce website.
