Two textile plants to be constructed at Giao Long

Investment & Trade Promotion Centre (ITPC) of Ben Tre Province has signed Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with two foreign investors for constructing textile and apparel plants at Giao Long Industrial Zone, informed Ministry of Industry sources.
Liberty Group of Thailand and Dan Duy Enterprise from Taiwan are these groups according to Nguyen Truc Son, Director of ITPC.
Liberty has applied for investment license worth $15 million to construct 5 plants of textile, dye, plastic, package and high class apparel for adidas and Nike.
In the first phase, Liberty will rent an area of 14 hectares at Giao Long industrial zone and employ 5-6000 workers.
Moreover, Taiwanese Dan Duy is also going to invest $1 million for a towel knitting plant and a range of small apparel units, Son added.
