JBDC aims developing business in Cricket World Cup 2007

On the eve to groundwork for Cricket World Cup 2007, the Jamaica Business Development Centre (JBDC), during the 2006/07 fiscal year, intends to focus on the development and implementation of business opportunities within the Micro and Small Enterprises (MSE) sector.
This was tabled in the House of Representatives on June 20 by Phillip Paulwell, Minister of Industry, Technology, Energy and Commerce.
Emphasis will be placed on craft, food and fashion, as well as business opportunities in the hospitality, entertainment and other service industries.
Fashion Division of the JBDC, will undertake several activities during the 2006/07 period as part of the process of developing the Jamaican apparel and fashion industry.
