The World Hockey Association Corp (WHA) announced that for the 2006-2007 seasons its players will be wearing uniforms manufactured by SP APPAREL.
SP APPAREL will provide each team in the WHA with the three exciting uniforms its players will wear throughout the upcoming Junior West Hockey season: home, visitor and alternate team colors. SP APPAREL will also produce WHA authentic uniforms for fans to purchase throughout North America.
"SP APPAREL has been producing professional hockey uniforms for over 8 years and the WHA is proud to offer our players and fans these innovative, professional grade products," said Ricky Smith, President and CEO of WHA Corp.
The WHA has not signed a licensing agreement with SP and has purchased the uniforms as a SP APPAREL "preferred client," with the option to enter in to a five or ten year deal with the Granby, PQ clothing manufacturer.
