Christopher & Banks June same-store sales up 10%

Women's clothing retailer Christopher & Banks Corporation reported total sales for the four-week period ended June 24, 2006 increased 20 percent to $43.3 million from $36.1 million last year. June same-store sales rose 10 percent.

For the four months ended June 24, 2006, total sales increased 17 percent to $185.9 million from $158.8 million last year while same-store sales increased 8 percent. As of June 24, 2006, the Company operated 741 stores compared with 662 stores as of June 25, 2005.

Joe Pennington, Chief Executive Officer, commented, "We are extremely pleased with the continued strength in our same-store sales. June ended on a strong note as customer response to new merchandise assortments was very positive. The appeal of our merchandise continues to expand with each new delivery and we are optimistic regarding our prospects for the balance of the second quarter."

As a reminder, June is a four-week month for Christopher & Banks. The Company's second quarter ends August 26, 2006.
