Academy Snowboard increases European sales orders by 181% for 2006-07

Action sports good supplier Execute Sports Inc has announced that Academy Snowboard Company has increased its sales in Europe by 181 percent with orders from leading European distribution company AB Invest, into Italy, Austria, France, Germany and Switzerland.
Overall, with these orders, Academy Snowboard Co's international orders have increased by 51 percent year-to-date over last year.
Jeff Baughn, Marketing Director for Academy Snowboard Co, commented that "with the addition of Austria, Italy, Germany and Switzerland to our European distribution, Academy Snowboard Co is now well-positioned through its partnership with AB Invest to grow its European footprint."
The European market for snowboards is estimated to be a $100 million annual market.
Gregor Surer, CEO of AB Invest, stated that "the Academy Snowboard line is an up and coming brand that is supported by quality and well represented by top pro athletes. We look forward to promoting the Academy Snowboard brand on this side of the Atlantic to become a leading brand in Europe."
Founded in 1992, AB Invest is a leading European action sports distributor. Amongst brands currently distributed throughout Europe by AB Invest are Grenade gloves and outerwear, One Ball Jay Wax, and eesa snowboard clothing. It also owns a skateboard manufacturing firm in Germany, Kramer Elastics.
Based in San Clemente, California, Execute Sports Inc develops performance products including wetsuits, vests, rash guards, snowboards, wake skates, bindings, bags and apparel for the action sports industry.
