UniFirst announces regular cash dividends

Board of Directors of UniFirst Corporation declared regular quarterly cash dividends of $0.0375 per share (3.75 cents) on the Company's Common Stock and $0.03 per share (3.0 cents) on the Company's Class B Common Stock. Both dividends are payable on October 3, 2006, to shareholders of record on September 12, 2006.

UniFirst Corporation is one of the largest providers of workplace uniforms and apparel, protective clothing, and facility services products in North America.

The Company employs approximately 9,500 Team Partners and serves over 190,000 customer locations from 189 customer service, distribution and manufacturing facilities.

The Company's 3 manufacturing plants produce millions of garments and floor care products for its customers each year.
