Apparel giant Gap Inc announced that Forth & Towne, the company's new apparel concept for women, plans to open two Seattle store locations this fall.
The first store is expected to open in October at Pacific Place, followed by a store at Alderwood scheduled to open in November.
"Seattle's retail industry is booming, and we're excited to open in two distinct shopping environments -- downtown at Pacific Place and at Alderwood, a suburban lifestyle center located just north of Seattle," said Gary Muto, President, Forth & Towne. "We chose these locations because they reflect the varied lifestyles of our customers, and they are located in centers that attract women seeking the stylish, wearable apparel and accessories Forth & Towne has to offer."
Located in the heart of downtown Seattle, Pacific Place features retail, restaurant and entertainment options that draw shoppers from neighborhoods throughout the city and tourists worldwide. The addition of Forth & Towne will complement the strong mix of well-known, high profile fashion tenants offered at Pacific Place.
Alderwood is a lifestyle center featuring a distinctive indoor and outdoor shopping environment with more than 200 major retailers, boutiques and restaurants. Located 15 miles north of Seattle, Alderwood serves Seattle's affluent, rapidly growing northern suburbs including Millcreek, Edmonds, Mukilteo, Woodinville and Kirkland.
Forth & Towne announced plans earlier this year to open in five new markets this fall: Atlanta, Houston, Los Angeles, San Francisco/San Jose and Seattle. It expects to open twelve store locations in these new markets, bringing the total number of Forth & Towne stores to seventeen.
