THOR•LO Inc, the originator of Thorlos activity specific sock products, is dedicated to preserving America¹s trails and encouraging people to embrace a healthy lifestyle. Involvement with the American Hiking Society's 14th Annual National Trails Day June 3, 2006 is one of the many steps THOR•LO, Inc. takes towards preserving the nation's trails and recreational areas.
This year, the American Hiking Society, together with THOR•LO, sponsored over 1200 National Trails Day events nationwide. Events included: trail construction and repair; trail clean-ups, interpretive hikes, celebrations, 5K runs and marathons.
Thorlos Outdoor Product Manager, Deb Lazenby, comments on the company¹s dedication to preservation. “We believe that the more people participate, the more they will enjoy and understand the need for preserving and protecting our trails. National Trails Day is an important and inspirational event, and we are proud to be a sponsor. Thorlos sock products keep hikers' feet comfortable and healthy while hitting the trails.”
In addition to its involvement with National Trails Day, THOR•LO is a frequent contributor to the American Hiking Society's National Trails Fund, a privately supported national grants program that provides funding to grassroots organizations working toward establishing, protecting and maintaining foot trails in America. Also, every pair of Thorlos, from original concept to finished product, is made in North Carolina, and the company works hard to ensure that its manufacturing processes are environmentally friendly.
