BIRD DOG BAY ties have been masterfully hand-printed and hand-sewn using the finest silks. Steve Mayer, resident Mascot Walker (and founder of BIRD DOG BAY), created this line of neckwear to exercise his fascination for the fusion of dry wit and conspicuous fashion for the 'every man's' wardrobe.

Steve Mayer starts his days like all of us should ... sans alarm. Gus the Dog and inspiration for BIRD DOG BAY licks him awake, pre-dawn to ensure that they'll be the first to grace the sands and waters of their hometown Chicago beaches.
Steve Mayer was raised in Sleepy Hollow, IL. He had a knack for drawing as soon as he picked up his first Crayola crayon and a love of neckwear after purchasing his first tie at age thirteen. (That tie was labeled 'A Hard Day's Night' because of the illustrations of tiny hard-hatted men working by twilight and killed the ladies.) He has twelve years of experience designing and manufacturing striking neckwear.
