Export of quota controlled textile and apparel goods rose 8 percent to $1.5 billion for the first eight months of this year, informed Textile and Clothing quota Administration under the aegis of Inter-ministries of Trade and Industry.
75 percent of quotas have been used in almost all key goods categories while synthetic fibre trouser for men and women accounted for 90 percent.
Last year exporting prices were high and hence, quota performance was not up to the mark; while in current year performance is very satisfactory, according to industrial experts.
