ESPN Consumer to launch Branded College Gameday Apparel

As the college football season kicks off with the Three Wisemen - Lee Corso, Chris Fowler and Kirk Herbstreit - ESPN will launch an exciting new apparel line that captures the rivalry and intensity of college football with the authoritative voice of College GameDay, which this year celebrates its 20th year.

Targeted at young adults, College GameDay apparel will arrive at stores nationwide to coincide with College GameDay's September 9 show from Austin, Tex., site of #1 Ohio State at 3 Texas.

The line includes tees, fleece crews and hoods, and incorporates unique messaging that will connect fans to their favorite college teams. Whether it's phrases like ``Hey Corso, Choose Wisely''; “Go Ahead Make My College GameDay''; or the surprises printed inside each garment, the designs reflect the authenticity of the Saturday morning fixture that captivates college football fans every Saturday in the fall.

"We are thrilled to launch ESPN-branded College GameDay apparel to coincide with the 20th anniversary of perhaps the most anticipated weekly college event on campuses and in homes across the country," said Steve Cipolla, general manager and vice president, ESPN Consumer Products. "College GameDay apparel is truly unique, and tells a deeper story about the big game or school - both on the outside and inside of each item. It's a perfect opportunity for fans to show their team colors through premium quality clothing."

The College GameDay apparel line will be manufactured by VF Imagewear, and will be available at leading sporting goods stores, sports specialty stores, better department stores, college campus retailers and online at ESPNShop.com. They range in price from $20 to $45.
