Readymade garments and textile traders may finally have their way with Chief Minister Y S Rajasekhara Reddy as the minister assured that he would look into the request for reduction of tax on 'made ups'.
As per Government regulation, a tax of 12.5 percent is levied on textile and readymade garments in the name of 'made up'. Rajahmundry Chamber of Commerce had requested the Government to abolish this regulation.
